You can get a spacious concept even though your residence is small. The apartment is housed in Belmont Residence (West Jakarta) with a minimalist design with bright colors and the use of wood furniture, especially hanging shelves that you can make an option to save space.
“Smart furniture” is fundamental to the renovation of this apartment. The main material used alone is plywood alias plywood with finishing material in the form of HPL (High Pressure Laminate). Slow motion hinges are also a highlight of a series of main materials used to remodel this apartment.
The combination of white, light gray, light blue and wood furniture gives the impression of space saving, especially with the incorporation of the living room and dining room so that the design is effective.
Although only has an area of 26m², this apartment can be divided into five (5) rooms with their respective functions: bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom and dining room. One tip from designer Dekoruma who works on this project is to balance the use of loose (finished) and modular (custom) furniture if you want to save budget.
Vinyl Floors in the Bedroom
The light brown color dominates this bedroom, supported by vinyl floors and book cabinets hanging on the bed and work desk. The use of space is very optimal because the placement of beds, work desks and cabinets all stick to the corner of the room, leaving enough room in the middle.
Wooden Landing in the Living Room
The living room and dining room are in the same zone because the owner of the apartment does live alone and does not need a large dining table. A very unique concept is applied to the dining room, where the bar stools accompany a custom table that is not too large, reflecting urban life and smart living that is practical but still chic and modern.
The use of hanging shelves in the form of top and side shelves above and on the television side confirms the efficiency of the room. There are also assembled TV panels that add to the cozy feel of the room. A wooden wall shelf on the sofa also sweetens the look of this living room.
Modular Furniture in the Kitchen
Space limitations make modular furniture very suitable to be placed in the kitchen. Not familiar with the term “modular furniture”? Modular furniture is furniture that is assembled from scratch, adapted to the space and made with the material of your choice. If you have limited space but still want furniture that stays sweet, maybe modular furniture can be the solution.
Four (4) different types of cabinets with different functions adorn this kitchen: top cabinet, plate cabinet, sink cabinet and hob cabinet. Countertop cabinet sink and hop cabinet are solid surface. All of these cabinets have swing doors. It’s just for the plate cabinet, the glass swing door is used rather than the swinging panel door to add a transparent impression.
